Our TESOL Summer Intensive is a great program for those looking for an intensive, in class option. You will take TESOL 510 online and then begin the 4 week summer intensive program. Each week will cover one class.

Preparing for the Program
This is a very intensive program that will prepare you to teach English. Taking TESOL 510 before you begin classes will help prepare you for the intensive segment. You should collect all of the materials that you need before the segment begins (textbook, classroom materials, etc.). It will also be beneficial for you to start the readings ahead of time. You will be in class 6 hours per day for the first 3 weeks and should plan to spend 3 hours per night on homework. The last week you will be in class for 3 hours per day and should plan to spend 6 hours per night on homework.
Living in Seattle
We offer accommodations at our residence hall, which is located 10 minutes from campus. A meal plan is included in the cost. The total cost to live in the residence hall for 4 weeks is _____.
Prerequisites
Your undergraduate degree and proof of English proficiency qualify you to apply to this program. Admission to the graduate-level TESOL program requires students to hold a four-year baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) from an accredited or otherwise recognized institution.
How to Apply
- Complete the CityU online application.
- Submit the non-refundable $50.00 application fee.
- Request transcripts from all institutions you’ve attended. Have them sent directly to City University of Seattle Registrar’s Office, 521 Wall Street, Suite 100, Seattle, WA 98121. Note: Electronic transcripts are accepted at City University of Seattle if sent from another recognized institution using proper security measures. They may also be emailed to evaluations@cityu.edu. Electronic transcripts sent directly or forwarded from students or other individuals/ businesses not in a direct agreement with CityU will be considered unofficial.
