28050542193_ffa1063ca7_oWhen you choose to study at WAL, you can expect to be met with friendly smiles and welcoming greetings from the very first day. The teachers and staff introduce you to English in an engaging and active way so you gain the confidence to use it outside of school. You’ll find yourself studying with students from countries including Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. We’re located in downtown Seattle, just steps away from the Space Needle and Seattle Center.

Since 1979, WAL has been teaching language and culture to the world’s people, and we’ve been proud to watch our students go on to experience their dreams. We invite you to join WAL and enjoy the friendly people and beauty of Seattle!

Living in Seattle

As a WAL student, you’ll be placed right in the heart of downtown Seattle and only minutes from Seattle’s most iconic structure, the Space Needle! With so many sights to see and activities to participate in, you’ll never run out of things to do. We also have our own Activities Coordinator, Debbie Chan, who organizes activities for our students. Check out her Flickr page here to see what kinds of things she has done!

We also have our new dormitory that opened in September 2015! Being only a few minutes away from CityU, students who live in the dorm have all the advantages and excitement of living life in the city!  You can find more information about CityU’s dormitory here.
