World Language Field Trips

World Languages instructors regularly organize field trips to enhance the connection between classroom learning and real-world experiences. Field trips offer a shared social experience to bring students closer to utilize their communication skills in an authentic setting, be it a restaurant, a museum, a theater, or a local grocery store. Our instructors spend time to learn about the diverse interests of the students prior to the field trips. The quality of preparation aims to ensure a proper alignment between student interests, classroom contents, and authentic interactions.

In February 2020, our Korean instructor Hyejin and her class went to a Korean restaurant and learned a few things about the Korean food culture!

In December 2019, our Farsi instructor Maryam and her class practiced conversational Farsi at a grocery store and a resturant.
