Tuition

Most students will make two payments per course: one payment to WAL for the course tuition and another to Seattle Pacific University (SPU) or Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) for the university credit fee. SPU/PLU credit is required for students seeking the TESL Certificate or state ELL/Bilingual Endorsement. These prices are valid for the Fall 2011-Summer 2012 school year.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a $30 LATE REGISTRATION FEE which will be applied to all students who register for on-site courses after 12:00 p.m. on the FRIDAY PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.

International students on an F-1 visa are required to attend full-time and complete the program in two quarters.  Students attend all classes + support programing for a total of 18 hours weekly during the academic year (September - May).  The summer quarter program can be completed in two months.  International students can attend one or more courses in the summer (each one-week course includes 30 hours of instruction). There are restrictions on studying in online courses for F-1 students in the US.

*All international students are required to carry health insurance while they are in the US. International students who do not have proof of insurance from their home country must purchase student health insurance through WAL.
