Methods of Teaching Reading & Writing to the ESL Student

This course explores the methodologies available to build proficiency in the skill areas of reading and writing. It also examines the learner skill repertoire required as well as practical techniques available to assist ESL students at all levels of proficiency. This course is part of the TESL Certificate and ELL endorsement program and is required for the certificate and/or endorsement.

Schedule Options:

Summer Intensive Course 2008 at Pacific Lutheran University or Seattle Pacific University
The summer program runs during the daytime from the last week in June through the third week of August, and is comprised of eight one-week courses. You may take all eight classes or choose only those courses of special interest to you. At SPU each course is offered for three units of quarter credit. At Pacific Lutheran University each course is offered for two units of semester credit.
