Introduction to Linguistics
This course presents an overview of the field of linguistics including phonology, morphology, syntax, pragmatics, psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics. Special emphasis is placed on the psychology of teaching and learning a language. There are many opportunities to connect theory with practice.This course is part of the TESL Certificate and ELL endorsement program, this course or Principles of Language Teaching and Learning is required for the certificate.

| Summer Intensive Course 2010 at Seattle Pacific University The summer program runs during the daytime from the last week in June through the third week of August, and is comprised of eight one-week courses. You may take all eight classes or choose only those courses of special interest to you. At Seattle Pacific University each course is offered for three units of quarter credit. |
