An overview of bilingual education from its historical beginnings to current controversies is presented. Topics include the legal, socio-cultural, psychological, and linguistic factors of the debate. Emphasis is placed on current research methodologies. Participants will evaluate various instructional methodologies used in bilingual classrooms.This course is only offered online in the Winter. *Required only for the Bilingual Endorsement
